Delta Hosts South-South Nigerian Police Security Summit Today. See Details Inside.


Inspector General Police, Mr Mohammed Adams, and governors of the South South geopolitical zone, will be attending a regional security summit under the auspices of the Nigerian Police Force.

It was further learnt that the governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, the nation’s Inspector General of Police as well as the governors of the South-South states, will kick start the programme at 11am instant.

The host, Delta State, has made tremendous progress since May 29, 2015 in resolving security challenges and have also recorded giant strides in peace building; sustained partnership and synergy with stakeholders, especially with the security agencies, local vigilante groups, organized youth bodies, royal fathers and community leaders.

The state efforts in peace and security initiatives visibly enhanced socioeconomic advancement, attracted local and foreign investors with positive impact on other states in the region and the nation’s economy.

Government statement in Asaba disclosed that accreditation of participants shall commence exactly 9am while all invited guests are to be seated on or before 10:30am.
