I just can’t help wondering what more a man could ask for after founding a party, serving as a Commissioner, SSG for 8 years and another 8 years as an Executive Governor.
The BIG QUESTION people should be asking about the defection of former Governor Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan to APC is what does he stand to benefit from the APC and what contribution can he bring to Delta State as a passenger that he couldn’t achieve as a driver in charge of the wheel of progress of Delta State?
This is a man who was not known to be a doctor with any well-established Clinic, Hospital or Business before his cousin a PDP National Leader Chief James Onanefe Ibori brought him into politics and made him commissioner for health, SSG and finally Governor.
When he was a sitting Governor he couldn’t use his office and power of a Governor to win election as a Senator, he couldn’t produce his successor in office, is it now that he’s out of office that he thinks he can win an election to become a Senator?
For the records, as a sitting Governor, Uduaghan’s style of leadership was not only self-centred but it was a total disaster and a failure.
Unlike Fashola who took over from Bola Tinubu, he couldn’t build on the achievements of Ibori thereby reducing the achievements of Ibori.
Please before you argue, take a good look at Warri and the total waste of scarce resources on a failed BRT project, a failed Warri Industrial Park, a failed Resort at Oleri, a failed Wildlife Park at Ogwashi-Uku, a failed Osubi Airport Expansion Project, a failed Asaba International Project, a failed dualization of Ughelli to Asaba, Osubi to Eku Road projects etc.
His failure in governance is unprecedented. He wasted 8 years as Governor and brought shame not only to PDP but shame to his benefactor who made powerful enemies just to see him become a Governor.
Uduaghan has no political structure and presently. He is very irrelevant in the scheme of things in Delta politic. Nobody is bothered about him leaving PDP as he was a total liability.
